Pernette's is more than an antique store. Nestled in the village of Northport, Michigan, on the tip of the Leelanau Peninsula, it's a tribute to the rich and storied history of the Great Lakes region. Northport played a vital role in Michigan's early days as a trade hub. Traders, voyageurs, and indigenous communities converged here, drawn by the abundant resources of the Great Lakes and the land's natural beauty.
The "Pernette's" name is an homage to a French family with ties to Northern Canada's fur trade in the early 1800s. Pernette's celebrates a time when traders navigated local waters, exchanging goods, coins, tools, keepsakes, and stories during long journeys across rugged terrain. We honor that spirit of exploration and craftsmanship. Our collection of unique finds has been thoughtfully curated to spark curiosity and inspire discovery.
Pernette's is more than a store--it's a place where the past and present converge, inviting visitors to carry a piece of Northport's legacy with them.
